Working Visit to Brčko

Chairman pf the Council of Ministers of BIH Zoran Tegeltija and Minister of Communications and Transport of BIH Vojjn Mitrović talked in Brčko with Brčko Mayor Esad Kadrić and representatives of the Brčko District of BIH Government. 

Chairman Tegeltija said that the construction of motorways in BIH is unthinkable without the Brčko District, and that one section of it should pass through Brčko, from the West towards East, and another form the South towards North.

He said it is important for Bčko to decide on its routes, having regard of both Republika Srpska and the Federation of BIH, and that he expects the District to solve the issue of plan documentation by this September as to routes construction, to be followed by land expropriation and development of project documentation.

“Our expectations is to put the sections within network of both regional and important roads in BIH, and that the Brčko District gets grant funds for that part. Bosnia and Herzegovina will get grant funds for construction of the majority of sections on the Corridor V c”, Chairman Tegletija stated at a press conference following his meeting with the district officials.

Speaking on the bridge reconstruction on the River Sava, which connects Brčko and Gunja, the Chairman of the Council of Ministers announced a signing of an Agreement with Croatia this September, in order to complete the operation as soon as possible and enable cargo transport across the bridge.

He stressed that the Brčko District is now best positioned when in question the percentage of vaccines allocated, adding that the delivery will be continued.

Mayor Kadrić said that the meeting agreed that the Brčko District of BIH will get included now on more intensively in getting favourable loans from international financial institutions, in which it will have the Council of Ministers support. (end)
