A meeting was held in Sarajevo of Chairwoman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Borjana Kršto and EU High Commissioner for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas.

Following an informal meeting in Munich, the high official of the European Commission paid the first official visit to our country, on which occasion today’s meeting was arranged.

Chairwoman Krišto briefed High Commissioner Kallas on developments in Bosnia and Herzegovina and a need for stabilisation of internal political and institutional developments to come as a result of dialogue and joint agreement by representatives of all three constitutive people, especially on core issues. Despite all on-going challenges, institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina have proved that they are capable to make reforms and necessary breakthroughs on the European road.

All existing outstanding issues should be solved through internal agreement, as a proof of our democratic maturity.

Chairwoman Krišto and high official Kallas agreed that Bosnia and Herzegovina already belongs to Europe and that it takes only a few steps for Bosnia and Herzegovina to make new breakthroughs on the European road that may contribute to overall stabilisation of the situation. (end).
