Work Team failed to adopt Draft Reform Agenda

A Work Team for development of BH Reform Agenda failed to adopt a Draft Reform Agenda. Representatives of four cantons withheld their consent to the proposed Draft, despite European Commission's approval of additional deadline, and hard efforts of the last two day for reaching an agreement. 

Consent for Draft Reform Agenda was not granted by the Srednjebosanski Canton, Tuzlanski Canton, Zeničko-Dobojski Canton, and Unsko-Sanski Canton. Due to their decline, Bosnia and Herzegovina is the only Western Balkan country failing to submit officially the Draft Reform Agenda.

The Chairwoman of the Working Team and of Council of Ministers of BHI stressed that “the European Commission approved, via Commissioner for Enlargement Varhelyi, an additional deadline so that Bosnia and Herzegovina may submit the Draft Reform Agenda, and those were just the last two days. Unfortunately, all efforts and support from European institutions, have not been enough for all in Bosnia and Herzegovina to show a minimum political accountability so that we may direct our activities towards our joint European road“. (end)
