Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Zoran Tegeltija talked today in Sarajevo, together with Prime Minister of Republika Srpska Radovan Višković, and Prime Minister of the Federation of BIH Fadil Novalić, with Deputy Assistant US Secretary of State Mathew Palmer. 

The meeting discussed the current economic issues, in the context of recovery from Covid-19 pandemics-caused crisis.

Chairman Tegeltija briefed Palmer of activities the Council of Ministers takes, in line with its competences and in cooperation with Governments of Republika Srpska and the Federation of BIH, in order to preserve health of citizens and restart economic activities.

During the talks, Chairman Tegeltija pointed at a timely and adequate reaction of BH Institutions when in question preserving of lives and of health citizens, underlining that in the period to come it is necessary to direct the existing instruments of financial support and initiatives for rehabilitation of the health sector, in addition to staring of economic activities to recover jobs.

Chairman Tegeltija pointed at the necessity of financial support by international financial organisations in order to recover from both social and economic consequences of the corona virus pandemics and start an investment cycle.

The meeting exchanged views on other topical issues, both political and economic in BIH, region and the world.
