Support to Water Supply Infrastructure Projects in Bosna and Herzegovina

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Zoran Tegeltija took part via video-link at a meeting with World Bank Director for Bosnia and Herzegovina Emanuel Salinas, Head of Delegation of the European Union and EU Special Representative Johan Zatler, UNDP Resident Representative Stelijana Nadrea and Ambassador of Switzerland in BIH Andera Rauber Sakser and Ambassador of Sweden Johan Stromkvist. 

The meeting discussed possibilities of continued support to water supply infrastructure projects, for which local communities in BIH show great interest.

Chairman Tegletija said the Council of Ministers is ready for cooperation and support to activities, which, as he stressed, contribute to improvement of living standard of all citizens, and he informed the meeting of a need for as urgent as possible realisation of measures required for rehabilitation from consequence caused by Covid-19 pandemics.

The meeting jointly pointed at the importance of investment to water management infrastructure projects, so that citizens could secure, especially in extraordinary situations like corona virus pandemics is, smooth and continuous water supply and sanitation. 

The meeting was attended by Ministers of Foreign Affairs Bisera Turković and of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations Staša Košarac, together with Deputy Minister of Finance and Treasury Hazim Rančić.
