Session of BIH State Investment Committee

The BIH State Investment Committee held its 19th session. It was a phone session, which considered projects for candidacy within the 25th call for technical assistance and 6th call for co-financing of investment projects through the Western Balkans Investment Framework (WBIF). 

The session adopted eleven projects to be proposed within the 6^th call for investment projects co-financing of in the areas of transport, energy and environmental protection, as they were assessed as sufficiently elaborated to be passed to a further procedure at the WBIF Secretariat. Applications assessing will be made by WBIF projects financier group, which proposes the selected applications to the WBIF Steering Board.

Three environmental protection applications were sent to further procedure within the 25^th call for WBIF technical support. The eligibility criteria for awarding grant funds were harmonised with the Economic and Investment Plan for the Western Balkans.

The Western Balkans Investment Framework enables financing and technical support to strategic investments in the areas of transport, energy, environmental protection, social sector and digital infrastructure, and it supports socio-economic development and the EU accession process of the Western Balkan countries.
