09/11/2024
Chairwoman Krišto stressed that achievements made and continued reform momentum on the European road of Bosnia and Herzegovina have no alternative and that our country needs a strong support from the EU. Chairwoman Krišto said she is thankful to the EU Representation Office in BIH, especially to Brussels-based institutions, for everything they do to contribute to placing and remaining of Bosnia and Herzegovina high on agenda of key EU bodies, expecting such development to intensify, with newly re-elected President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen.
There is a high degree of consensus of political representatives of all three constitutive people that the European road is a foundation of state-level institutions’ actions, followed by all-level authorities’ commitment within their respective competences. Within legislative reform solutions, discussions on reform of the Election Law was set as priority to the end of this year.
I will do utmost to overcome the current stalemates, by the next Brussels meeting of high officials, so that Bosnia and Herzegovina would, despite missed deadlines, keep pace with other countries, when it comes to the Growth Plan. Chairwoman Krišto and Special Representative Soreca agreed that by joint effort and regular meetings they will work unreservedly on the European road, especially on key issues. (end)
