09/22/2020
“Many on-going projects in these Municipalities were discussed, and it turned out that that the major part of implemented projects was funded through assistance of the Republika Srpska Government and Government of Serbia, while the lesser part came from the Federation of BIH”, Chairman Tegeltija stated after the meeting, stressing that the support of the Council of Ministers to the Municipalities of Drvar and Glamoč will not miss.
The Mayors of Drvar and Glamoč briefed the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH on a need for a change of revenue allocation system in the Federation of BIH to the benefit of less developed municipalities.
“It is about valorisation of natural wealth, first of all forests, which is exploited and sent to other places, so the effects for local community are very limited ones”, Chairman Tegeltija stated.
He said that the constant deficiency of revenues troubles these local communities, because these are the communities that has experienced exodus of population.
The meeting discussed the issues of illegal import of waste to the territory of Drvar and destruction of mine-explosive devices at “Barbara” site in the Municipality of Glamoč.
Chairman Tegeltija added that Mayors of Drvar and Glamoč expect from the Council of Ministers a higher level of support then in the previous period of time.
“It primarily refers to funds with the Ministry for Human Rights and Refugees, used for support in problem-solving of refugees and displaced persons”, Chairman Tegeltija said.
He expressed his belief that the problem of no Serbian language and national group of school subjects for Serb pupils in the Municipality of Glamoč will be solved soon, mentioning that such problem is not encountered in the Municipalities of Drvar and Grahovo.
Chairman Tegeltija said that support of the Council of Ministers of BH and himself will be provided, and that he will stand for solving the status of local communities so as to help them deal with problems from their own funds.
