On that occasion, Krišto expressed her thankfulness for President Von der Leyen have chosen, at the beginning of her new term of office, a regional tour to visit Bosnia and Herzegovina. This act confirms the importance the European Union attaches to the further enlargement process, which was especially highlighted at the meeting of the two high political officials.

She pointed out that with decisiveness, cooperation and joint growth, and with the European Union support, a joint aim is possible to achieve – a full membership of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the European Union.
