Meeting of Chairman Tegeltija with Polish Secretary of State Szykowski

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Zoran Tegeltija talked in Sarajevo with Secretary of State for European Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland Suymun Szynkowsji on possibilities for improvement of bilateral cooperation between Poland and BIH, and on current developments in the country and region. 

In his occasion, Chairman Tegeltija thanked to the Government of Poland for its support provided during the corona virus pandemics, as well as for overall understanding of the political situation in BIH, complexity of the constitutional arrangement, with two entities and three constitutive peoples.

Speaking of the current political challenges faced by BIH, Chairman Tegeltija stressed that imposition of sanctions on legitimate elected representatives of authority is not a solution, emphasising that behind sanctions there are usually interests of certain countries, asking for it, not the will of all EU member-states.

They stressed the importance of improvement of cooperation between cities and regions of both Poland and BIH, which might contribute considerably to furthering both economic and political relations. (end)
