Meeting Krišto – Rama: Friendly Relations between BIH and Albania

After a tête-á-tête and meeting by delegations of the Council of Ministers of BIH and Government of the Republic of Albania, Chairwoman Krišto stated that relations between the two countries are without outstanding issues, but requiring future strengthening of “both the regional and our bilateral cooperation”.
Chairwoman Krišto briefed Prime Minister Rama of the current political developments in BIH from the view of the Council of Ministers of BIH. She stressed that this institution, with all complexity that exists in in BIH, is making a breakthrough in everything what is the interest of BIH, and that is primarily mutual respect, dialogue and consensus on all issues to guarantee stability and European future, as it is one of shard political aims in BIH.
Prime Minister Rama sad that strengthening of the relations between the two states is desired, and efforts are on-going for opening of Embassy of the Republic of Albania in BIH.
Prime Minister Rama expressed his expectation that BIH will, like Serbia, introduce a system to enable travel by citizens of countries of the region with their identity card only. “Through the Berlin Process we want to secure freedom of movement for citizens with identity cards only. I am hopeful that these current processes will benefit all”, Rama said.
He confirmed that he briefed Chairwoman Krišto of the Berlin Process Summit to take place in Tirana, this October.
