Krišto – Naessl: To boos BIH Cooperation with EBRD

Chairwoman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Borjana Krišto talked in Sarajevo with Head of EBRD Office for BIH Manuela Naessl on promotion of cooperation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. 

Chairwoman Krišto expressed her thankfulness to the EBRD for its continued support to Bosnia and Herzegovina, especially in infrastructure projects realisation, key for linking of BIH to the regional communication infrastructure. She confirmed a strong European commitment of the Council of Ministers of BIH, and emphasised that the European integrations have no alternative for our country. She said it is time to move to future, and that a continuous dialogue and cooperation are the only way to bring peace, stability and improvement not only to BIH, but to the whole region. She added that she sees EBRD as one among key partners in these processes, the project results of which are visible throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina.

They discussed realisation of projects to date and investment plans for the future period of time in areas of inclusive growth, development and boosting private sector capacities, strengthening of public companies’ competitiveness, infrastructure development, and energy, energy efficacy and promotion of the so-called green economy.

Chairwoman Krišto stressed that the EBRD, with almost EUR three billion invested in Bosnia and Herzegovina is one of the most important partners in development and reconstruction of the country, adding that BIH institutions will continue to work on intensification of cooperation. (end)
