Krišto at Tirana Summit Ukraine – South East Europe

Chairwoman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Borjana Krišto took part at the Ukraine – South East Europe Summit in Tirana. The Sumit hosts were Prime Minister of the Republic of Albania Edui Rama and President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenski. 

In her address to the plenary session, Krišto stressed that as the Chairwoman of the Council of Ministers of BIH, she is aware of importance of cooperation and dialogue, as well as a shared wish for a peaceful and stabile region and Europe. She said that Ukraine, as a country facing security and stability challenges, deserves a full and constant attention and support.

“Let me, therefore, underline again that Bosnia and Herzegovina strongly supports territorial integrity of Ukraine and stands firmly with Ukraine in her efforts to maintain sovereignty and security”, Chairwoman Krišto said.

She said that in line with its commitment to European civilisation values, Bosnia and Herzegovina follows fully the European Union as to foreign policy positions in relation to the Ukraine war. She expressed her belief that through dialogue, solidarity and mutual support, positive changes may happen, not only in Ukraine, but beyond, as well.

The Chairwoman congratulated to President Zelenski and Ukraine people opening of negotiations with the EU. She reminded that BIH waists the opening of negotiations this March, and expressed her confidence that the common devotion to European and civilisation values would ensure more secure and prosperous future for all in the region and worldwide.
