Krišto and MacGaha Talk on BIH Cooperation with -NATO HQ in Sarajevo

Chairwoman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Borjana Krišto talked in Sarajevo with Commander of NATO HQ in Sarajevo Brigade –General Pamela McGaha. 

At the meeting in Sarajevo Chairwoman Krišto underlined the importance of cooperation with NATO HQ on the BIH Euro-Atlantic road, pointing out that NATO represents not only military but a political alliance, as well, sharing values of freedom, democracy, pluralism and consensus.

Krišto indicated at the importance of recent decisions by the Council of Ministers if BIH, enabling procurement of new helicopters for the BIH Armed Forces and training of officers in air navigation, assessing that agreement reaching on these projects is, after a long time stalemate, an important step forward for Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as an indicator that consensus of political actors is possible for projects important for BIH.

They both pointed at the importance of continuation of the Armed Forces of BIH development and modernisation Programme,. Including further participation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in joint peace operations together with NATO members.

Chairwoman Krišto thanked to commander McGaha and NATO HQ in Sarajevo for continuous support to Bosnia and Herzegovina in defence and security, and noted commitment for intensification of cooperation and further development of partner relations.(end)
