CoMBiH Chairwoman Krišto in Davos: “Let’s Get Focused at Things Uniting Us”

Chairwoman Krišto emphasised that the new seating of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina will work on improvement of relations in the region and on intensification of cooperation with the European Union.
“More than ever, we are aware that we must get focused on things that unites us, rather than those disuniting”, Chairwoman Borjana Krišto said, adding that Bosnia and Herzegovina remains dedicated to the Berlin process as a core mechanism leading on the road to concrete and stable European societies.
She turned to global challenges faced by societies today, and added that consequences of the global crisis have larger negative repercussions to societies of the Western Balkans, especially when cooperation and integrations are exchanged by conflict.
According to her, the current crisis has to be turned into means to accelerate energy transition and remove all obstructions to development of new, clean and sustainable technologies.
“”We have to do everything possible in order to replace obsolete technologies and infrastructures for the benefit of health and safety of people and environment. There is where I see an opportunity for closer cooperation of the Western Balkan countries”, Chairwoman Krišto said.
As an adequate response to the present social confidence and solidarity crisis in the Western Balkans, Chairwoman Krišto singled out better cooperation with the European Union and its institutions. She underlined that Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the whole Wester Balkans, needs unambiguous support of the European Union more than ever.
“Despite all challenges, the European Union is the single community in the world, the basic values of which are the starting point for advancement of mankind and society. Therefore. I am proud of the candidate status of our country, which we got on December 15, last year, thanks to engagement by both member-countries and institutions od the European Union”, Chairwoman Krišto stated, vowing a special thanks to President of the Government of the Republic of Croatia Andrej Plenković for his continuous support to the Euroean road of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as for overall stability and relations our region enjoys with the European family.
