Collegium for European Integrations Holds Its 7 Session

The 7th session of the Collegium for European Integrations was held in Sarajevo, chaired over by Chairwoman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Borjana Krišto. 

For the aim for implementation of an explanatory screening in BIH, the Collegium for European Integrations tasked the Collegium Work Gorup members to review files submitted for the explanatory screening., and define within their institutions all questions  to be  posed to the European Commission, in relation to the European Union acquis.

The Collegium for European Integrations assessed prioritised a decision-taking on setting-up structures for accession negotiations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the European Union, which would strengthen the negotiating position of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with a note that all phases. should include all competent authority levels. Chairwoman Krišto emphasised necessity of an urgent formation of accession negotiations structures, appointment off chief negotiator and negotiating team.

For the aim for promotion of a model of BIH Integrations to EU Programme, the Collegium for European Integrations tasked the Committee for European Integrations to prepare, following a consultancy meeting with European Commission, a new methodology of development of the Integrations Programme of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the European Union, in line with Comments by the European Commission to a Draft BIH Integrations to EU Programme.

Chairwoman Krišto briefed members of the Collegium for European Integrations on holding of an “Accession Negotiations of BIH and European Union” Conference, scheduled for May 28, 2024, for the aim of informing all authority levels in Bosnia and Herzegovina with obligations ahead of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the course of the accession negotiations with the European Union. (end)
