Chairwoman of Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina Borjana Krišto Visited by Western Balkans Friend-Countries Group

Chairwoman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina Borjana Krišto received in a visit a Group of Ambassadors of friend countries to the Western Balkans. 

Chairwoman Krišto said that Bosnia and Herzegovina’s membership in the European Union is a pivotal strategic aim and foreign policy priority of our country, and emphasised that Bosnia and Herzegovina shares core values of the European Union, remains devoted to democracy, boosting of rule of law, protection and promotion of human rights, solidarity, and strengthening of political dialogue, relations and cooperation with EUI member countries and EUI institutions, and counties of the region, as well.

Chairwoman Krišto said that Bosnia and Herzegovina will continue working diligently to fulfil remaining obligations and reforms on its European road and meet conditions for opening of official negotiations and hold an International Conference.

The meeting concluded that regional cooperation and maintaining of good neighbourly relations are a fundamental foreign policy aim and strategic priority of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as a key component within the process of stabilisation and accession of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the EU. Bosnia and Herzegovina remains firmly committed to peace and stability promotion, security, economic cooperation and shared prosperity in the region, recognising it as inevitable basis for further prosperity. (end)
