Chairwoman of Council of Ministers of BIH Talks with ITA Director

Chairwoman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Borjana Krišto talked in Banja Luka with Director of the Indirect Taxation Administration of BIH Zoran Tegeltija on the Administration operation and planned future activities. 

The meeting pointed at the importance of operation of the Indirect Taxation Administration, which collected the record level of KM 6 billion and 931 million of indirect taxes in eight months 2023, which is KM 495 or 7.7% more relative to 2022.

ITA Director Zoran Tegeltija briefed the Chairwoman of the most important business processes run by the Administration, as well as of current issues, especially when in question staff structure and insufficient number officers, coupled in inadequate work conditions, especially in Banja Luka. They also discussed activities planned for the time period to come, and which should contribute to improvement of ITA operations, as well as better relations with business community and citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Chairwoman Krišto commended a Regulation amending the Regulation on Application Value Added Tax, which is a step more towards tax relieves for grants in food, after the Parliamentarian Assembly of BIH adopted Amendment Law on Value Added Tax.

Also, Krišto informed Director Tegeltija of an initiative by the Federal Bureau for Health Insurance and Reinsurance, as well as of initiative of the Health Insurance Fund of Republika Srpska for VAT decrease, removal or refund for medicines, medical material, equipment and other goods and services procured for the purpose of health care provision, all for aim of disburdening health institutions and quality improvement of services to end-users. (end)
