Chairwoman of CoMBIH Krišto at Opening of “Herzegovina” Bridge Connecting South BIH with EU

In her address, chairwoman Krišto said the bridge connects not only south and north of BIH, but it is also a corridor through Croatia, enabling a multiply development of economy, which is a proof that we can together reach and realise great aims.
“The project gives a new dimension to overall infrastructure development in our country, and by this we set the benchmark high, and we need to keep following it. By joint synergy of both domestic and international institutions we have given a permanent contribution to this part of Europe, hopefully an integral and full part of the European Union soon”, Chairwoman Krišto added, expressing her thankfulness to all who contributed to the project.
She also noted that the opening of the “Herzegovina” bridge leis foundation for continuation of the road infrastructure construction dynamic.
“May this solemn evening be a motif to construct new bridges, new roads, new lasting values, as a part of modern, European country we all aspire to be”, the Chairwoman of the Council of Ministers of BIH concluded.
The “Herzegovina” bridge is a strategic infrastructure project connecting the South of Bosnia and Herzegovina with the European network of mentioned corridors. The Počitelj-Zvirovići part of sub-section is 11.07 km long and connects Počitelj with border with Croatia through Bijača border-crossing.
The opening ceremony gathered numerous representatives from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatian authorities, and international officials.
