Chairwoman Krišto with UAE Foreign Trade Minister Al Zeyoudi

They expressed pleasure with extremely good and friendly relations of the two countries. Chairwoman Krišto noted that there is still a significant space for improvement of economic cooperation, especially provided systemic presentation of investment capacities of BIH to UAE investors.
Chairwoman Krišto said BIH views the UAE as a model of innovations, creativity and progress on the Middle East, so she expects concretisation and intensification of economic cooperation in areas of tourism, transport infrastructure, energy, food industry, special purpose and wood industry. She said improved cooperation requires additional regulation of agreed relations between the two countries, so negotiations on a series of bilateral contracts should be stepped-up. She also thanked for an invitation and expressed her readiness for participation at COP28 UN Conference on climate changes, to take place this December in Dubai.
She briefed Minister Al Zeyoudi of the European road of BIH, noting a firm commitment of our country to fulfil 14 key priorities from the European Commission Opinion and to progress towards a full membership in the EU. She said geographic distance to the EU is a comparative advantage of BIH, making it attractive for foreign investors and trade partners. (end)
