Chairwoman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Borjana Krišto discussed current political, economic and reform issues with Secretary of State of the Holy see Cardinal Pietro Parolin, during her visit to Vatican. 

Chairwoman Krišto briefed Secretary of State Parolin on current political issues in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with a special emphasis to political and demographic position of Croats, Catholics, She said the main precondition for stable and safe future of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region is an equal political position of all constitutive people and removal of all forms of discrimination in the political system, which requires a comprehensive reforms, especially a limited reform of the Constitution and amendment of the Election Law.

Chairwoman Krišto and Secretary of State Parolin turned to the position of demo-Christian values, position of the Catholic Church and all Christians in BIH.

Chairwoman Krišto stressed the Council of Ministers of BIH is consistent in its intention to have Bosnia and Herzegovina as an integral part of the European social, political and economic structures. The EU membership is the most important aim and strategic priority, because of which the support of the Holy See is of extreme importance.

They discussed implementation of the Basic Agreement between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Holy Seem with a focus to return of real estate to religious communities and issue solving of pension, disability and health insurance of religious servants throughout BIH Chairwoman Krišto said the implementation of the Basic Agreement remains our permanent obligation, and in that sense, she gives her full support to the Vrhbosanska Bishpric and Bishop Conference in implementation of the Basic Agreement.

Chairwoman Krišto thanked to the Secretary of State Parolin and Holy See for their continuous support to Bosnia and Herzegovina. (end)
