Chairwoman Krišto with President of European Parliament Metsola

Chairwoman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Borjana Krišto talked in Brussels with President of the European Parliament Robert Metsola on political and economic developments in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with a focus to authorities setting-up and the European road of BIH. 

Chairwoman Krišto emphasised an understanding that the candidate status was awarded to our country as an incentive for further intensive work on harmonisation of legislation, adding that the Council of Ministers of BIH will take effort to justify the confidence it received form its European partners.

She underlined that there is a positive work atmosphere, and that the Council of Ministers has already adopted several documents, relevant for the EU integrations, and defined a Draft 2023 Budget, which would certainly facilitate work of BIH institutions. She added that stabilisation of political situation and frank dialogue of all political stakeholders, along with respect of full equality of all three constitutive people and others, is a key to acceleration of both reform and integration processes.

Chairwoman Krišto thanked for a continuous support of European Parliamentarians to our country, expressing her confidence that BIH and the Western Balkans would remain at the focus of interest of the European parliamentarians. (end)
