Chairwoman Krišto with Minister of European Affairs of Seeden

The meeting emphasised good and friendly bilateral relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Kingdom of Sweeden, without outstanding issues.
Chairwoman Krišto expressed her thankfulness to Sweden for a continued support it extends to BIH on its European road, She stressed that last week’s decision by the European Council on starting negotiations for accession to the EU represents a great step forward for Bosnia and Herzegovina and both confirmation and recognition of joint diligent effort, resulting in a final achievement of required degree of harmonisation with the EU membership criteria.
She pointed that the Council of Ministers of BIH remains focused at fulfilment of the remaining conditions and is committed to reform implementation, to the end of strengthening of democracy, rule of law and economic development of our country. She added that all in Bosnia and Herzegovina are aware of many challenges ahead, in addition to obligations and diligent work.
Krišto stressed a strong commitment to overall election reform, and in that context she said that we should give a full support to continuation of dialogue and compromise, first of all to solutions as result of effort by the BIH institutions. Such solutions only may secure BIH to be stable, prosperous and sovereign country, and joined to European family.
Chairwoman Krišto said the Council of Ministers of BOH continues to work at same relentless pace, as reforms are needed to all in BIH. She added that rightly strong support by friendly Sweeden and all friends in the EU provides additional motivation for facing different challenges and reaching the final aim, a full-fledged membership in the European Union.
