Chairwoman Krišto with Head of IMF Mission in BIH Iancu

Chairwoman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Borjana Krišto talked in Sarajevo with Head of IMF Mission for BIH Alina Iancu on improvement of cooperation of Bosnia and Herzegovina with this international financial institution. 

Chairwoman Krišto brined Head of IMF Mission Iancu of the current political and economic developments in Bosnia and Herzegovina. She said that Bosnia and Herzegovina, despite the global economic crisis, achieves a continuous real growth of GDP and that all indicators suggest that BIH is fiscally sustainable and stable country. She noted commitment of the Council of Ministers of BIH to an accelerated continuation of reform processes and fulfilment of 14 priorities from the European Commission Opinion. She added that the Council of Ministers of BIH has already adopted the 2023 Budget and 2023-2025 Economic Reforms Programme.

The Chairwoman expressed her thankfulness to the IMF for its cooperation and support to Bosnia and Herzegovina thus far, especially in implementation of structural reforms in our country. She noted her expectations that good cooperation between BIH Institutions and MF would continue in time to come, as well.

The meeting discussed current economic issues in the region and beyond. (end)
