Chairwoman Krišto with EUFOR Commander Major-Gernal Sticz

Chairwoman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Borjana Krišto talked in Sarajevo with newly-appointed EUFOR Commander in BIH Major-General Laszlo Sticz on cooperation of BIH Institutions and EUFOR. 

Chairwoman Krišto briefed Major-General Sticz on Priorities of the Council of Ministers of BIH, pointing that Bosnia and Herzegovina has made a meaningful breakthrough on tis European road, and that it expects positive reactions from Brussels and the exact date of opening of negotiations with the European Union. She emphasised that due to constitutional structure and pursuant to all-level authorities’ competences, the process requires compromise and a full political consensus of all constitutive people. She said that the work of the Council of Ministers of BIH is in accordance with its responsibilities, it remains focused at fulfilment of remaining requirements from the European Commission Opinion and agreement-reaching on all key issues along the process.

The meeting pointed at mutual satisfaction by cooperation of all-level domestic authorities and EUFOR and stressed the importance of cooperation with local population.

Chairwoman Krišto thanked to EUFOR for its continuous support to BIH authorities in building of peace and stability, for support to BIH Armed Forces and undoubtful support to the European perspective of BIH. She added that institutions of BIH and EUFOR share the same aim, which is a stable. sustainable, peaceful and multiethnic Bosnia and Herzegovina, state of three equal constitutive people and all others living in it, and which cooperates with its neighbours on principles of mutual duologue and respect.

Krišto wish success to Major-General Sticz in running EUFOR during his stay in BIH.
