Chairwoman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Borjana Krišto talked in Brussels with EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and European Commission Vice-President Joseph Borrell on Euro-Atlantic road of Bosnia and Herzegovina. 

Chairwoman Krišto said the awarding of candidate status to our country is an important breakthrough, to provide a new dimension in EU-BIH relations and motif for a maximal engagement of institutions competent for the European integrations. She added that the Council of Ministers of BIH has already adopted several documents relevant for the integrations processes and defined a Draft 2023 Budget, to facilitate implementation of planned reform programmes.

High Representative Borrell emphasised the peculiarity of this moment, when Bosnia and Herzegovina, getting the candidate status, is passing from the Dayton to Brussels phase, since Brussels is its final destination. He pointed at the European Union notable expectations, in terms of fulfilment of 14 priorities by newly-appointed authorities, but said he is confident of achieving it, based on already witnessed developments. He congratulated to the Chairwoman for adoption of the 2023-2025Economic Reforms Programme.

He remained at the importance of a high level Political Forum, as a forum to follow the implementation of all activities ahead of Bosnia and Herzegovina. (end)
