Chairwoman Krišto with EIB Delegation on Continuation of Cooperation

Chairwoman do the Council of Ministers of BIH Borjana Krišto received in Sarajevo a delegation of the European Investment Bank, led by Head of Western Balkans and Turkie Division Matteo Rivellini, with whom she discussed modalities of improvement of cooperation. 

Chairwoman Krišto expressed her pleasure for cooperation to date of BIH Institutions with EIB, thanking to the EIB to cooperation thus far and support to Bosnia and Herzegovina, especially in infrastructure projects, in which technical expertise and financial support of EIB were the most relevant part. She expressed interest of BIH for strengthening of support to private sector through favourable crediting loans, in order to create jobs and accelerate economic growth.

They discussed realisation of previous projects and possibilities for new ones in road and railway infrastructure, environmental protection, energy, health, and water supply and sanitation infrastructure.

Chairwoman Krišto said our country remains devoted to European integrations and regional processes, the basis of which are communication linkage and structural adjustment. She added that Bosnia and Herzegovina needs continuation and strengthening of cooperation with the European Investment Bank, the core mission of which is rightly that. She emphasised that EIB is one of the most important development partners of our country, with more than EUR 3.2 billion of loan and grant funds invested to local and regional development projects of public interest. (end)
