Chairwoman Krišto with Ambassador Sattler

Chairwoman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Borjana Krišto met in Sarajevo with Head of Delegation of the European Union in BIH and Special EU Representative in BIH Ambassador Johann Sattler. 

Chairwoman Krišto and Ambassador Sattler discussed the 5^th meeting f the European Union – Bosnia and Herzegovina Stabilisation and Accession Council, held in Brussels on July 19.

Chairwoman Krišto stressed that a document titled ”Position of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the stabilisation and accession process” was adopted at the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina session. held ahead of the Brussels meeting.  Along with that, she stressed that through dialogue, mutual consideration, consensus and respect it is possible to achieve aims on the road to the European Union.

On this occasion, Ambassador Sattler handed over a demarche on the up-coming Global Gateway Forum, to take place in Brussels by end October. The European Commission and EU High Representative defined the Global Gateway, a new European strategy for inciting smart, clean and secure links in digital, energy and transport sector, as well as for strengthening of health, education and research systems throughout the world. The Global Gateway is committed to sustainable and reliable links benefitting people and planet, making it possible to respond to the most urgent global challenges, from climate change, envirome4ntal protection to improved health security, improving competitiveness and global supply chains.

Chairwoman Krišto thanked for the presented demarche, and commended the concept and standards promoted by the Global Gateway Forum along with all concrete projects directed to good governance, transparency and sustainable development.(end)
