Chairwoman Krišto with Ambassador of Turkey in BIH Girgin

Chairwoman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Borjana Krišto talked in Sarajevo with Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey in BIH Sadik Babur Girgin. 

Chairwoman Krišto repeated its condolences to Ambassador Grigin and to Turkish people, emphasising that the friendly Turkish people may count on support of all-level authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina. She added that a part of our relevant teams for search and rescue is already in Turkey to provide support to rescue efforts on the ground, and that a part of specialised team  set on yesterday evening to Turkey, carrying needed equipment.

Ambassador Grigin thanked to Chairwomen Krišto, and briefed her of new reports on the extent of earthquake aftermath and comprehensive actions by Turkish authorities in search for missing people and assistance to survivals.

Chairwoman Krišto informed Ambassador Grigin that an extraordinary, phone, session of the Council of Ministers od BIH is in the process, and that she sincerely hopes and firmly believes that a decision on approving current reserve funds, in amount of one million KM, will be passed for support to the Republic of Turkey in rehabilitation from damage caused by the devastating earthquake.

She reiterated readiness of the Council of Ministers of BIH to continue, in line with its capacities and authorisations, to provide support to the Republic of Turkey and to Turkish people to help them overcome these difficult moments, and announced her permanent contact with ambassador Grigin concerning a needed assistance coordination. (end)
