Chairwoman Krišto Visits New Paediatrics Construction Site in Mostar

Chairwoman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Borjana Krišto visited the Mostar University Hospital, where she talked with its Director dr.sc. Anton Kvesić. 

Director Kvesić briefed Chairwoman Krišto of the on-going infrastructure projects, aimed at improvement of work conditions for staff and service provision to users. He said that the University Hospital works intensively on reconstruction of the facility façade, and that works on a new Paediatrics building are in the final stage, where about KM 20 million was invested. He added that the University Hospital invests a lot of effort in education of doctors and other medical staff, without whom the Paediatrics building construction would be senseless.

Chairwoman Krišto, accompanied by Director Kvesić and Dragan Čović, Second Deputy Chairman if the Parliamentarian Assembly House of People, visited the building site, where she witnessed a successful finalisation of works on the new facility.

The Mostar Paediatrics building takes 9,000 m² it has 200 planned beds, and its construction will solve the issue of accommodation and treatment conditions of children in Herzegovina, over the coming period of time.

Chairwoman Krišto said this is currently the most important investment project in health sector in Herzegovina, and the city of Mostar and people of Herzegovina deserve to have one among the most modern hospitals for treatment of child patients. She added that this is an essential investment in future of our country and that such projects should be supported by all-level authorities. (end)
