Chairwoman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina Borjana Krišto met in Sarajevo with Secretary of State of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Baroness Lucy Jeanne Neville-Rolve. 

The meeting expresses pleasure for good and friendly relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Great Britain, and commended an intensive political dialogue and substantial cooperation in numerous areas.

Chairwoman Krišto briefed Baroness Neville-Rolfe on the current developments in BIH, stressing that a fast setting-up of state level authorities, together with getting the EU candidate status, offer a chance to our country for a breakthrough when it comes to necessary reforms implementation. She emphasised that the focus of the Council of Ministers of BIH is the fulfilment of 14 key priorities set by the European Commission and acceleration of the Euro-Atlantic integrations.

Chairwoman Krišto stressed a need for implementation of structural and economic reforms, along with a limited Constitution reform and comprehensive amendments of the Election Law, in order to ensure a full constitutional equality of all constitutive people and others, which is a precondition for democratisation of society and confidence building on the road to the EU.

Baroness Neville-Rolf expressed strong support by the Great Britain to stability and security of Bosnia and Herzegovina, together with implementation of socio-economic reforms and economic progress, including Euro-Atlantic integrations of our country.

Chairwoman Krišto noted a need for further development of economic cooperation of the two states through investments attraction and transfer of knowledge and technologies, and expressed her thankfulness fora an active British engagement and support to our country over the previous period of time. She added that conclusion of certain agreements on air traffic, social insurance and mutual recognition of drivers’ car licences would strengthen additionally the overall bilateral cooperation.

The expressed their mutual interest for strengthening of cooperation in the area of energy, with focus to „green energy“, and as well as in infrastructure and services and tourism industries.
