Chairwoman Krišto Talks with President of Republic of Slovenia Pirc Musar

Chairwoman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Borjana Krišto talked in Sarajevo with President of the Republic of Slovenia Nataša Pirc Musar on European integrations of BIH and bilateral relations of the friendly countries. 

Krišto thanked for a continuous support by Slovenia to Bosnia and Herzegovina on its European way, particularly for an initiative to form a Group of Friends of the Western Balkans. A full membership in the European Union is one among main foreign policy aims of Bosnia and Herzegovina, therefore we consider it extremely important for the European Council to take a decision on opening of accession negotiations this March with Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Chairwoman of the Council of Ministers of BIH said. She stressed that Bosnia and Herzegovina has fully harmonised its foreign policy with the common foreign and security policy of the European Union, and that it works diligently on fulfilment of 14 priorities form the European Commission opinion.

Krišto welcomed the Western Balkans Growth Plan, adopted by the European Commission, reminding that a work team was set-up in Bosnia and Herzegovina for development of reforms plan for the implementation of the Growth Plan. She pointed that Bosnia and Herzegovina supports an idea of further economic alignment of the Western Balkans though single common market with the EU single market.

Chairwoman Krišto pointed at the importance of regional cooperation and good neighbourhood relations within the enlargement, stabilisation, and accession to the EU, assessing that in the context of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Westen Balkans, economic security has a key role in regional stability, faster EU integration and in addressing international threats.
