Chairwoman Krišto Talks with Head of Council of Europe Office in BIH Urumova

Chairwoman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Borjana Krišto talked in Sarajevo with Head of the Council of Europe Office in Bosnia and Herzegovina Bojana Urumova on improvement of cooperation in human right promotion, rule of law and further development of democracy. 

They discussed implementation of the Council of Europe 2022-2025 Action Plan, focused at further approximation of law and practice in BIH with the European Union standards.

Chairwoman Krišto thanked to Urumova for support of the Council of Europe to Bosnia and Herzegovina, emphasising commitment of the Council od Ministers of BIH for acceleration reforms implementation on the European road. She added that from the aspect of human rights, it is required to implement awards of the Constitutional Court and European Court for Human Rights so that, with limited amendments of the BIH Constitution and amendment of the Election Law of BIH, a real constitutional equality of all three constitutive people and other in BIH would be ensured.

They exchanged opinions on the current developments in BIH and future projects by the Council of Europe in our country, and reaffirmed their commitment for intensified cooperation. (end)
