Chairwoman Krišto talks with Commissioner Varhelyi on Preparations for Second High-Level Political Forum between EU and BIH

Chairwoman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Borjana Krišto held a telephone call with European Commissioner for Enlargement and Neighbourhood Oliver Varhelyi on preparations for the Second High-Level European Union-Bosnia and Herzegovina Political Forum, scheduled for December 5, 2023 in Brussels. 

Krišto briefed Commissioner Varhelyi that she advised all participants of the First High-Level Political Forum on the announced second meeting and of related on-going preparations.

She stressed that all state-level coalition party leaders said they are ready to attend the Brussels Forum personally.

Also, she said that she sent a letter to all other participants of the First EU-BIH High-Level Political  Forum, among whom members of the Collegiums of both Parliamentarian Assembly of BIH Chambers, Presidents of Clubs of Representatives in the House of Representatives, Entity and Cantonal Prime Ministers, and the Brčko District of BIH Mayor,  advising them of prearrangement details for holding of the Second EU-BIH High-Level political Forum, and pointing to all key obligations and steps each authority level should take, in line with the European Commission Report on BIH.

Krišto urged once again all Forum participants to accelerate realisation of the remaining obligations pursuant to the 2023 European Commission Report on BIH, underlining especially efforts towards fulfilment of the Agenda 31-listed priority reforms, assessing them as a key step for defining a final date for launch of negotiations on full membership, by the end of this year. (end)
