Chairwoman Krišto Talks with Azerbaijani Minister of Economy Jabbarov

Chairwoman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Borjana Krišto met in Sarajevo with Minister of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mikavil Jabbarov. 

The meeting agreed that bilateral relations between the two countries are good and without outstanding issues, and they represent a good basis for further strengthening of both bilateral and multilateral cooperation.

Krišto briefed the Minister of the current political developments in Bosnia and Herzegovina and concrete steps taken by the Council of Ministers of BIH in reforms implementation, necessary on the road to the European Union.

Also, Chairwoman Krišto informed Minister Jabbarov on planned activities concerning the economic development of BIH, stressing that experiences of the Republic Azerbaijan, as one among the fastest rising economies in the world, might be multiply useful for our country. In that context, a special focus is on prospects for boosting economic cooperation, including through more Azerbaijani investments, Krišto said.

Minister Jabbarov said Azerbaijan appreciates good political relations with Bosnia and Herzegovina, and expressed interest for improvement of economic relations through identification and implementation of projects of shared interest.

Finally, Chairwoman Krišto thanked to Minister Jabbarov once again for all assistance extended thus far by the Republic of Azerbaijani to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
