Chairwoman Krišto talks with Ambassador of Italy Di Ruzzo

Chairwoman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Borjana Krišto talked in Sarajevo with Ambassador of the Republic of Italy in BIH Marco Di Ruzzo on improvement of bilateral cooperation. 

The meeting stressed that there is a considerable space for improvement of bilateral cooperation in the area of economy, culture and education between the two friendly states.

Chairwoman Krišto expressed her thankfulness to Italy for a continuous support to democratic and reform processes in Bosnia and Herzegovina and active promotion of peace, stability and Euro-Atlantic integrations. She added that Italy is one of the most important trade partners of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and in line with that, she stressed the importance of institutional links by way of bilateral agreements to create preconditions for a faster and safer flow of people, goods and capital.

Chairwoman Krišto briefed Ambassador Di Ruzzo on priorities of the Council of Ministers of BIH in the coming period of time. She emphasised that the Euro-Atlantic integrations have no alternative, and that the focus of work will be directed to fulfilment of 14 EU priorities, along with tackling with numerous domestic issues, such as very important election legislation reform, all for the aim of stabilisation of political situation.

Ambassador Di Ruzzo briefed the Chairwoman on Rome candidature for Expo 2030. He also congratulated to Chairwoman Krišto for her appointment, wishing her successful work at the leading position of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina.(end)
