Chairwoman Krišto Opens European Bocce League

The town of Grude, with its beautiful hall, welcomed the best bowlers of Europe. Following the 2002 European League and 2007 World League, Grude are again the host of the great bocce competition. 

The European Bocce League features 17 countries: Croatia, Slovenia, Italy, France, Monaco, Portugal, Serbia, Germany, Switzerland, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Spain, Netherlands, Hungary, Montenegro, Turkiye, and Estonia.

The participants were addressed by Grude Mayor Ljubo Grizelj, Prime Minister of Hercegovačko-Neretvanski Canton Predag Čović, President of the Croatian Bocce Association Denis Peršić, and President of the European Bocce Federation Tomislav Ćurko.

The European Bocce League was solemnly opened by Chairwoman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina Borjana Krišto.

“I wish to commend organisers and hosts for very successful organisation of this sports activity, and I wish to add that it is not just a sports event, but rather a chance to present our culture, customs and tradition, identity of the area and our people in BIH. To all competitors of this event I wish a lot of got luck and success“, Krišto said.

The evening was made more festive with performance by the Grude Majorettes and the „Hercegovac“  Croatian Cultural Association.(end)
