Chairwoman Krišto Opens BIH Pavilion at 60th Venetian Biennale

In her address to numerous guests, Chairwoman Krišto said that this is for the first time that Bosnia and Herzegovina is presented at this important world exhibition by themes of beauty and hope, with beautiful exhibition set-up titled “Measure of the Sea” by the Mostar University and Museum of Contemporary Art, proving themselves to be a foundation of high education, science, research and art.
She added that this daring set-up happens in time when Bosnia and Herzegovina opens a new chapter of its future.
She noted that the very title of the set-up “Measure of the Sea”, speaks of our roots and Mediterranean identity. She said the set-up elaborates inclusion and connectedness, gathering around artists from within all Bosnia and Herzegovina, thus building bridges of dialogue.
Therefore, I extend sincere congratulations to author of the set-up, Stjepan Skoka, national commissioner Marin Ivanović, and Rector, prof.PhD. Zoran Tomić and to all diligent people included into this magnificent project “, Chairwoman Krišto said.
Chairwoman Krišto emphasised that through a decision on participation at the 60th Venetian Biennale and with today’s gathering of representatives of various institutions and bodies of authority in these challenging times sends a clear message and dispatches a picture of Bosnia and Herzegovina as of a country of peace, dialogue, compromise and co-existence of three constitutive people and al others living in it.
