Chairwoman Krišto met with representatives of Jewish Community in BIH and Addressed at 75th Anniversary of the State of Israel

Chairwoman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Borjana Krišto talked in Sarajevo with representatives of the Jewish Community in BIH, led by its President Jakob Finci, accompanied by President of the Confederation of European Rabbis Gady Gronich, Ambassador of the State of Israel in BIH H.E. Galit Peleg, and President of the Foreign Trade Chamber of Israel in BIH Amir Gorss Kabiri, on all outstanding issues of the Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina. 

Chairwoman Krišto said that all outstanding issues concerning our Jewish Community, in addition to issues connected to Holocaust and financial compensation, are of an extreme importance for the whole society of BIH. She said it is necessary to make a breakthrough in that direction and work on strengthening of cooperation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the State of Israel, with which our country has particularly good relations and strong bilateral cooperation. She noted of a recently adopted of IHRA working version of antisemitism definition.

They discussed other issues relevant to the Jewish community in BIH, including challenges requiring an urgent solution-finding. Krišto attended a solemn reception held on the occasion of the 75th Anniversary of the State of Israel, held in Sarajevo synagogue, where she addressed to the event.(end)
