Chairwoman Krišto in Meeting with EUFOR Commander General-Major Habermayer

Chairwoman Krišto briefed General-Major Hybermayer of priorities of work of the Council of Ministers of BIH. She stressed that Euro-Atlantic integrations have no alternative, but the process itself requires a lot of compromise and a full political consensus of all three people, so that activities would be, in accordance with responsibilities, focused at reaching agreement on all key issues of the process.
They assessed as positive today’s decision of the Council of Ministers of BIH on defining Draft Budget of BIH Institutions and International Obligations of BIH for year 2023, and taking of appropriate decisions to increase receivables by employees in BIH Instituions, among whom soldiers, too.
Chairwoman Krišto said she is satisfied with cooperation of all-level domestic authorities with EUFOR, adding her expectations for the trend to continue. She also emphasised the importance of cooperation of local population with EUFOR through various forms of support to local communities, which provides visibility and recognisability of the EUFOR Mission.
Chairwoman Krišto thanked to EUFOR for a continuous support they offer to BIH authorities in maintaining secure and stable environment, as well as for support to the BIH Armed Forces in adoption of NATO standards. She added that the task of domestic authorities is to create conditions for achieving a long-term political aim, which is a stable, sustainable, peaceful and multi-ethnic Bosnia and Herzegovina, a state of three equal constitutive people and all others living in it, and which cooperate with its neighbours on the principles of mutual respect and consideration. She concluded that it is only possible though the continuation of Euro-Atlantic integrations and adoption of EU and NATO standards in institutions of the political-legal system of Bosnia and Herzegovina at all levels.
