Chairwoman Krišto Hosts Traditional Event “2024. Diplomatic Grape Picking”

Chairwoman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Borjana Krišto hosts today a traditional event “Diplomatic Grape Picking” in Mostar. 

It is a special recognition for the event, since the city of Mostar is this year’s holder of title of the European Dionisio vine city It is a proof not only  of quality of vies produced in the area o Mostar, bit it speaks fo dedication of Mostar to maintenance and promotion of vineyard heritage.

The title also represents a recognition for the whole Vine Road of Herzegovina, culture route, which covers, other than Mostar, towns/municipalities of Čitluk, Ljubuško, Čapljina, Stolac, and Terbinje.

The Herzegovina Vine Road is a part of a pan-European cultural route CoE Iter Vitis, which promotes one of the most prominent European vine destinations, with their unique landscapes, authentic way of life, and cultural-historic and material heritage.

The attending officials and ambassadors had their hand in the traditional grape picking in Herzegovina, after which they tried domestic vines.

The traditional grape picking event has been organised for years to the end for foreign and international officials to learn more of values and potentials, including touristic and culture offer in Herzegovina. (end)
