Chairwoman Krišto: “Growth to Base on Innovations, Digitalisation and Decarbonisation”

Chairwoman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Borjana Krišto addressed in Sarjevo to opening of the “Public-Private Dialogue” Conference, organised by the American Trade Chamber in BIH. 

In her address, Chairwoman Krišto said Bosnia and Herzegovina is small and open economy on the borders of the European Union., the recovery and growth of which highly depend on regional, European, as well as global trends. She added that our primary and strategic task is to, guided by internal consensus and agreement, create and reach a vision of desirable future, and make notable progress as soon as possible, taking regard of interests of numerous domestic and foreign stakeholders.

She emphasised that responsibility of all in BIH, at all levels of authority, is to work diligently an make additional efforts in order to step-up necessary reform processes to enable high quality life to citizens, as the key to economic success and economic growth depends primarily of ourselves, our commitment and will to create new values and goods, and improve the quality of the existing ones.

Chairwoman Krišto said Bosnia and Herzegovina is now again on the right direction, in terms of the European road and implementation of necessary reforms. She stressed the awarded candidate status and stabilisation of internal political situation are positive indicators and best incentives for creation of affirmative ambience within new realities, and take decisive growth- contributing new steps.

“We talks about a growth to be based primarily on innovations, digitalisation, decarbonisation, a new geopolitical positioning of value chains and positioning of BIH companies in it, as well as growing opportunities for foreign direct investments”, Chairwoman Krišto said.

At the end of her address, Chairwoman Krišto informed the Conference that the Council of Ministers of BIH adopted last year a “Proposal 2023-2025 Bosnia and Herzegovina Economic Reforms Programme”, a relevant strategic document to help achieving sustainable economic growth and stronger social cohesion, all for the aim of Bosnia and Herzegovina reaching an inclusive and sustainable growth. In her address, Chairwoman Krišto said Bosnia and Herzegovina is small and open economy on the borders of the European Union., the recovery and growth of which highly depend on regional, European, as well as global trends.
