Chairwoman Krišto at Western Balkans Leaders and European Union Summit in Kotor

Chairwoman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Borjana Krišto took part in Kotor at the Western Balkan Leaders and European Union Summit on the Western Balkan Growth Plan. 

In her introductory address,Chairwoman Krišto thanked to the Summit host, Prime Minister of Montenegro Mr. Milojko Spajić for his genuine dedication to strengthening of regional cooperation and stability, as well as to European Commissioner for Neighbourhood an Enlargement Opliver Varhelyi for a constant support to BIH on its European road.

In her address to the „Current State of affairs and Future Plans – New Growth Plan” panel, Chairwoman Kririšto spoke on the European road of our country and relevant breakthroughs made over the past period of time, which resulted in gaining the candidate status and the European Council decision to open negotiations with Bosnia and Herzegovina. She stressed that BIH has send official reforms list implying quantitative and qualitative steps for implementation of the Western Balkans Growth Palan.

„In time ahead while finalising the narrative part of reforms, as well as modus of funds distribution, I will do everything to preserve our decisiveness in future, and to arrive at joint goal through our cooperation, joint effort, and mutual confidence and consensus “, Kritšto said.

TheCchairwoamn noted especially that: „in BIH we work intensively on promotion of a new growth plan in a way to point at the relevance of its implementation through reforms, referring to the rule of law, improved functioning of institutions, boosting of business climate and keeping human capital in BIH, which all together brings about a stronger growth of economy, particularly for us in BIH“.

At the end of her address Krišto said she is confident that despite all challenges in BIH, this is the best way to show decisiveness and dedication to the European road, for which consensus exists in BIH and which represents the paramount foreign policy aim of all constitutive people and citizens. She said that Bosnia and Herzegovina will host the next Western Balkan Leaders and European Union Summit this September. (end)
