Chairwoman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Borjana Krišto addressed in Mostar to the “MoStart” First International Conference on Digital Transformation in Education and Application of Artificial Intelligence, organised by the Mostar University Information Technologies Centre (SUMIT) and Mostar University. 

Chairwoman Krišto spoke on an extreme importance of the topic nowadays, not only in education but in other segments of life. She emphasised the importance of gathering of experts from different countries to discuss the newest trends and technologies, which is unique opportunity for experts from Bosnia and Herzegovina for learning and networking with leading experts, scientists and practitioners. She commended efforts by the Information Technologies Centre, which runs digital transformation of the whole education vertical, working after plan and curriculum on Croat language.

She also underlined that Bosnia and Herzegovina should, on its reform path, use experiences from the Republic of Croatia when in question digitalisation of public administration, adding that the Mostar University certainly can, with its SUMIT, help institutions in digital transformation.

Chairwoman Krišto thanked to the Conference organisers for their hard work and dedication to gather experts from the extremely relevant area, not only for academic community, but for the whole Bosnia and Herzegovina, urging all participants to use opportunities offered by such Conference, as a platform for exchange of knowledge, sharing of experience and work on better future for education, as well as for application of the artificial intelligence in our society.

At the margins of the “MoStar” Conference, Chairwoman Krišto met with Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Zapadnohercegovački Canton Daniela Perić; Minister of Education, Science, Youth, Culture and Sports of the Srednjebosanski Canton Bojan Dimić; Minister of Science, Education, Culture and Sports of the Canton 10 Gorana Nakić; Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Posavina Canton Ana Andrić; Secretary of State of the Republic of Croatia Bernard Gršić and Director of the Committee for Conflict of Interest Solving (AKD) Juro Sertić, with whom she discussed digitalisation of public administration, with a special focus at digital signature. They concluded that the valid law should be amended in order to move on quickly to amendments as to signature digitalisation legislation. (end)
