Chairwoman Krišto at Neum Conference „Role of Science in Bosnia and Herzegovina Integration Process”

Chairwoman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Borjana Krišto took part at the 6th International scientific-expert conference “Role of Science in Bosnia and Herzegovina Integrations Process” held in Neum, organised by the Mostar University, Croatian Academy of Science and Art in BIH, University in Slavonski Brod, University North and University of J.J. Strossmayer in Osjek. 

The aim of the Conference is to bring closer and unite participants in elaboration of science-founded concepts comprising themes of analogy, connectedness, and approximation of institutional and social forms for the purpose of achieving more cohesiveness of BIH and the EU.

The Conference is structured in two panels. The first one, “European research space and  European high education space in the light of Bosnia and Herzegovina integrations”, aiming both the representation of EU standards of relevant policies in research and high education in the context of imperative of BIH integrations and promotion of compatibility of Bosnia and Herzegovina society with the European one. The aim of the second panel “Potentials of Bosnia and Herzegovina in research and innovations area” is a review of the state of affairs and prospects for coordination, better organisation and networking of the existing scientific and research capacities of BIH.

The Conference underlined that the high education in Europe is influenced by several factors, among which there are global demand for high quality education, research and innovations, fast changing labour market, demographic trends, climate changes and technological race. Education and up-grading were said to be the best way of investment in future of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Europe. These efforts are the key for growth of innovations and job creation. (end)
