Chairwoman Krišto at Jahorina Economic Forum

In her address, Chairwoman Krišto pointed at the importance of holding such forum for the sixth year in a row, gathering representatives of BIH institutions, entrepreneurs, experts, and business and academic communities for discussion on economic topics relevant to all-level authorities of BIH.
Chairwoman Krišto pointed at consequences of global challenges to economy of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as a small and open economy highly dependent on economic trends in its environment.
„It brings us to a position that taking and implementing measures for promotion of competitiveness of our economy should be based on strengthening domestic economy and investments“, Krišto stressed.
She reiterated dedication of the Council of Ministers of BIH, which, in this term, is turned to sustainable economic growth and development through continuation of socio.-economic reforms, strengthening of rule of law, stabilisation of political and social situation, as well as membership in the European Union, as its strategic aim.
Chairwoman Krišto said the Council of Ministers will work continuously, within its constitutional authorisations, acknowledging the constitutional structure of BIH, and will coordinate with lower levels of authority in order to create policies for a stepped-up economic growth, including removal of obstacles to increased competitiveness of economy in the whole. In such ambience, especially important, according to her, is intensification of regional cooperation and implementation of sustainable infrastructure projects, as well as attraction of investments within the European Union initiatives for intensified cooperation with its institutions.
