Chairwoman Krišto at COP28 in Dubai

The COP is a conference gathering signatory-counties of the 1992 UN Climate Agreement, and it gathers more than 70,000 participants from different segments of social action, economists, scientists, activists, journalists and state delegates, for discussion on limitations an preparations for future climate change.
Energy transition is of a great importance for Bosnia and Herzegovina, precisely decrease of hothouse gas emissions from thermal power plants and transition to a higher share of “green” energy, through efforts at achieving a competitive and long-term sustainable energy system - this implying climate change issues faced primarily by local communities.
Chairwoman Krišto met, at margins of the COP28, with Prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyani and other European and international high officials, attending the Conference.
Bosnia and Herzegovina will join the Emirate Declaration on resilient food system, sustainable agriculture and climate actions, while addressing by Chairwoman Krišto to the Conference was scheduled for tomorrow, Dec. 2, 2023, within High-Level Segment.
