Chairwoman Krišto at 60th Munich Security Conference

Chairwoman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Borjana Krišto took part at the opening of the 60th Munich Security Conference in Munich. 

The key discussion topics at panels were the role of Europe in security and defence, new visions of global order, and security implications of climate change.

The Chairwoman took part at the “Growing the Pie: global order that works for everyone” panel discussion, with participating panellists: UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, President of the Republic of Ghana Nana Addo Dankwa, President of the Republic of Columbia Gustavo Francisco Petro Urrego and Prime Minister of Barbados Mia Amor Mottly.

She also took part at the “United States of America in the World” panel-discussion, with chief panellist US Deputy President Kamala Harris.

Chairwoman Krišto met with President of the Republic od Serbia Aleksandar Vučić, Foreign Minister of the Republic od Austria Alexander Schallenberg, and Foreign and European Affairs Minister Gordan Grlić, in addition to holding several bilateral meetings with Deputy President of the European Commission Dubranka Šuica and the Republic of Croatia Delegation, led by Prime Minister Andrej Plenković, which included Defence Minister Ivan Anušić.

The meetings discussed the European road of Bosnia and Herzegovina, reform processes, security challenges and regional cooperation. Chairwoman Krišto emphasised commitment of Bosnia and Herzegovina to realisation of our key foreign policy aim, a full membership in the European Union. She briefed on the Council of Ministers achievements in reform implementation in different sectors, and stressed the importance of cooperation with European partners and EU member-states continuous support so that Bosnia and Herzegovina might continue the European road, including regional cooperation in securing peace and stability as a key for progress of BIH and the whole region. She advised her interlocutors that the BIH Parliamentarian Assembly House of People endorsed a Law on Prevention of Money Laundering and Financing of terrorism, which represents  fulfilment of one more condition for opening of negotiations with the European Union.
