Chairman Tegletija with Ambassador of Turkey in BIH Koç

They discussed the improvement economic and bilateral relations between BIH and Turkey, noting the ratification of the Free Trade Agreement and prospective advantages of it.
Chairman Tegeltija informed Ambassador Koç that the implementation of reform measures aiming the improvement of business ambience and creation of conditions for investment attraction is one of the priorities of work of this composition of the Council of Ministers.
The meeting emphasised that Turkey is a relevant foreign trade partner to BIH, and that there is a potential for the improvement of economic cooperation and investment cycles in the areas of common interest.
Chairman Tegeltija and Ambassador Koç agreed on a necessity to intensify the cooperation in the areas of infrastructure, and stressed their readiness to implement the projects planned, among which there is construction of Belgrade – Sarajevo motorway. On this occasion, Chairman Tegeltija emphasised the importance of the Belgrade –Sarajevo motorway construction for all countries of the region, and said he is hopeful that BIH and Turkey will reach the same level of cooperation on that affair, as the Republic of Serbia and Turkey have.
At the meeting, the Chairman of the Council of Ministers once again conveyed words of grief for of many victims among the citizens of Turkey caused in an earthquake that hit the country, and stressed that BIH will, in accordance to its capacities and possibilities, extend a maximum support in mitigating the consequences thereof.
The meeting exchanged opinions of other topical political and economic tissues in BIH and the region.
