Chairman Tegletija Talks with Transport Community Manager

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Zoran Tegetija talked today in Sarajevo with Manager of the Transport Community Standing Secretariat Matej Zakonjšek on joint priorities in transport infrastructure development. 

The Manager of the Standing Secretariat briefed the Chairman of the Council of Ministers about the Secretariat plans within the Transport Community, while Chairamn Tegeltija stressed the determination of the Coucnil of Misniters to strengthen BIH economy also by way of development of road communciation and linking with the region.

Cahriman Tegeltija said that the moderisation of road communcaitions in BIH, improved safety, and strengthening of railway infrastrucure for the purpose of increased goods exchange in the region affect directly the economic developemnt, and stressed the importance of continued investments and finalisation of works on the Corridor V c running through BIH, mentioning the works on the Svilaj and Gradiška bridges.

The Chairman underlined the importance of establishment of green corridors in the time of counties’ lockdowns due to Corona-19, and noted a need for continuation of operations of these corridors, especially towards the EU, in order to speed-up the flow of people and goods and strengthen the regional and trade with the EU.
